slacking

i haven't been posting much because i'm home and i'd much rather watch christmas movies with mom/eat yummy food/SHOP/work/get drunk & dance every night?

but i was looking at urban outfitters this morning and i want these, badly:













AND, while looking through purses, i came across this 50$ one.. which i would just like to point out i could find at value village or talize in a matter of minutes.

i'm home and i love it so much.
i've been drinking too much but i got SUCH an amazing leather coat from value village todaaaay.

Here's A Rant.

Rolling Stones Top 50 Albums of 2008:

i could just be biased, but "In Rainbows" and "Jukebox" didn't even make this list, which kind of surprises me for a magazine that printed and published wonderful articles on both Radiohead & Cat Power in this last year, recommending that we add these albums to our music collections. i don't know, it just kind of doesn't make sense? The rest of the list is pretty decent, they included most of my favorite albums of 2008.. but Taylor Swift and The Jonas Brothers were included? i mean i know they pump out the hits, but is the talent and raw creativity there? So many other artists/bands could have made this list, Kanye West? The Kills? Bloc Party? Leona Lewis? Adele?

oh well, it's all opinion & everyone is entitled to their own.
HOWEVER i'm so glad Kings Of Leon (#20) are finally getting the success they deserve. And Ryan Adams.(#14)

my little brother is hilarious.


highlights of my day:
-i slept for 14 hours last night/today and it felt so good.
-i convinced rogers to let me pay my phone bill in 2 weeks, so my phone is still connected!
-having food in my place
-dr. phils theme song? hahaha oh my gosh i noticed it while i was cleaning and when that song came on i died of laughter, it's like some christan band singing about how we all just "gotta have faith" and "believe"
-BEING HOME IN 2 DAYS!
i can't wait london, i miss you so much.

study, essay, study

3 cups of coffee & 478 words into this 800 word essay, i'm so awake and probably won't sleep tonight because i still need to find time to study before 9 am.. but i'm so, so fine with that right now because i realized how much i love cat power. she's so fucking cool, i wish i could meet her. i also want to see her live again, but in a smaller venue then opposed to a music festival. i think she has one of the most beautiful voices i've ever heard. if you haven't heard the song metal heart and her cover of blue.. you need too.

cat power

has been singing to me all night. i can't sleep, i'm bored, i'm restless, i've cleaned & studied, a little. i really wish i was home.. i feel like i'm not accomplishing much right now other then studying, but like i need money and i really just wish i was working and with my family and friends.
anyways it's almost 2:30am and i'm talking to an old friend who i've been thinking about lately, it's nice.

where are you christmas?

i don't know if it's cause i'm not home, but for somebody who normally LOVES the holiday season.. i can't seem to get into it this year. i really hope that changes once i'm home.


also, i really can't wait to watch a christmas story with my mom.
